I was just watching TV and it hit me................... The SNN should have their own Facebook page. It would give us great exposure to people from the largest social networking sites... in the world. Does anyone knows how to use Facebook?
I was thinking about starting the account exactly the businesses do it, but change it up a little. Like instead of advertisments, some info about the latest things happening on the wiki. A poll or two. Maybe copy the Featured User interview. And try to encourage anyone to come over and help us become the 1# source for all things Sonic. If anyone who is reading this that knows about Facebook, you are welcome to help.
Found The FB page. liked :) ILuvShadow 14:58, April 20, 2012 (UTC)ILuvShadow

groans* Please no I honestly do not like facebook. I just think it's stupid and I wish it would just disappear forever...but that's just my opinon and shouldn't count. I suppose it could give the place publicity and such. Cheetahfly 00:43, August 16, 2010 (UTC)
Fine by me, although I won't be joining it myself. -- Supermorff 09:28, August 18, 2010 (UTC)

You are pretty mature, considering the maturity of most of the people our age here (I'm looking at you!). You're also pretty expirenced, considering how long you've been here. You're well know. I haven't met one user here who doesn't know who you are. I think we all know that you are an admin. 03:46, August 19, 2010 (UTC)
Firstly, me and him are BOTH beaurecrats. Secondly, I'm afraid I'm one-foot-in, one-foot-out on this topic. Plus, the one running our Facebook account would have to be dedicated to keeping it updated, and well....face it, Kagi, you're lazier than Polo most of the time. -- Shelly the Hedgehog I'm not a monkey! 03:49, August 19, 2010 (UTC)
A. My bad. D:
B. I can't vouch for that. 03:51, August 19, 2010 (UTC)
1, I'm not a crat Shelly, just an admin. Secondly, *points at Shelly* I was thinking you should do it.--Kagimizu-Seeya 'round 03:52, August 19, 2010 (UTC)
Well-Known is a bit of an understatement. Every new user that sees Shelly has a crush on her. 04:27, August 19, 2010 (UTC)
Hate to state the obvious, but the number one criterion should be the person running the Facebook page should be a passionate user of Facebook. They should already be familiar with how the site works and how to make the page, etc. Anyone qualified in that department? -- Supermorff 22:11, August 19, 2010 (UTC)
Don't put the herd on Shelly all the time, I mean I got a whole lot of respect for Shelly, but maybe someone else can represent the wiki, *Does bot point or look at anyone because this user does not want to be a Oprah Winfery Drama Mama* Mighty, yes a great guy like him should do the job.
If Mighty knows his stuff, then I'm happy for him to take point. -- Supermorff 11:41, August 22, 2010 (UTC)
Wow, I thought everyone would want an admin on this job. If you would give me the honor of being in charge of this page, then I will try my absolute best to make the best Facebook page on the site.
You'd have to update it very often, you realize. And, as Supermorff said, you should already know a thing or two about how Facebook works. -- Shelly the Hedgehog I'm not a monkey! 05:56, August 23, 2010 (UTC)
@Shelly - I have a plan for that. Since my computer isn't exactly "high quality" I will e-mail the password to a few admins so they can edit the page as well. That way, more than one person can help make the page. And I know some stuff about Facebook (although I'm not a frequent user) but I know a personal friend who can help me with that problem.
Nonono, no emailing passwords. That = bad. Look, if you make it as a 'fan' page or a 'group' page then just appoint some other people admins of the group. -- Supermorff 20:19, August 24, 2010 (UTC)
Why shouldn't I email the password. That way no one can look at the password exept the one who recieves it.
Don't share the password at all. Sharing passwords is never really a good idea on the internet. If you use the Facebook system to appoint other people as admins of the Facebook group, they should be able to make their own passwords. Don't make a page about SNN as if it was a person. -- Supermorff 18:54, August 25, 2010 (UTC)
You see, we would create the page as if it was a business not a person. I was simply planning to send the password to one admin that I knew would help me when I can't do it, that I thought was highly qualified for the job.
I have yet to find a single reason for a group of any kind to get a Facebook page. Tell me what BENEFITS there are to having a facebook page anyway?
