I mean think about it

1.Two story books, and probably more in the future

2. That evil purple stuff is in both the games and they turned both the antagonist evil

3:I think the purple stuff is just one big evil entity that has been corupting all the story books, and will all lead up in to one big main game "Sonic and the Untold Evil"

4:Makes sense
