You didn't need to make a forum about it though. You could just as easily asked someone on their talkpage and they'd be happy to help.
Answer to your question: Those are actually pictures, my steps
1. Go to "Photo" 2. Type "Userbox" in the "Find" box 3. Look for Userboxes you like.
For making your own, I suggest you ask someone.
