Yes, I know in the comics and stuff he lives on Mobius, and in Sonic X, Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2 he's on Earth, but where does he live in the recent games? SilverBlaze 19:49, 29 August 2008 (UTC)

Earth. The whole Earth, Mobius thing was caused by mistakes in early English instruction booklets. The classcs had several mistakes (Charmy was 16, in CD Amy was Sally, Knuckles was 15, etc.). For whatever reason, Sega's English translators somehow got Mobius out of Earth. Properly translating Japanesse manuals, they say Earth, not Mobius. The continuites that take place on Mobius (IE: Archie comics) where created early in Sonic's days, and thus, the error was created... Skeletal S.L.J.C.O.A.A.A.T.R. Soul 00:32, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

In Sonic X, Sonic lives on Mobius but was teleported to Earth by Chaos Control In the games, he lives on Earth In Aosth,SU, and SatAM, he lives on Mobius In the Comics he lives on Mobius And that's pretty much it.Scythethehedgehog 17:27, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

As far as I know, since Sonic is always vacationing, holidaying and travelling, he doesn't have a home. Closest to homes are probably camping and hotels since the Hotel in SA1 was not really neccisary but still plays a minor role to Sonics travels. (You never actually see a bedroom in this hotel. so far as I know Sonic is a traveller (Tourist).--Mystic Monkey 23:08, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

In the DIC cartoons and Archie comics, he lives in Mobius. In Sonic the Movie, he lives in planet Freedom. In Sonic X, he lives in a parallel version of our Earth. However in the main canon which is in the games by Sonic Team, he lives in a fantasy, cartoony version of Earth. They didn't think it would be good to put him in our Earth so they changed it's features to suit Sonic and his friends.Classicsonicawesome 23:12, March 12, 2012 (UTC)

I would like to point out that Sonic Triple Trouble was recently released for the 3DS on the eShop, the details state that the game takes place on Mobius. Austin311 16:37 March 20, 2012 (UTC)

Sonic Triple Trouble isn't part of the main-console series by Sonic Team. It was always Earth, it's been confirmed in the Sonic 3 and Knuckles japanese manual in Sonic Retro. Also for Sonic X, it is still Earth because it was supported by Sonic Team and because you see many parts where there is a map of the world and it looks like Earth 1, making Sonic and friends live on Earth 2. The idea of Sonic X is to make children think Sonic is rela and visited their Earth once which is kinda funny. But in the games, it's different as Sonic is living on THE Earth, but it was made to be cartoony and all fantasy like to suit Sonic's appearance. You know? Being a talking blue hedgehog and all.98.218.157.142 18:54, March 22, 2012 (UTC)

Sonic is something of a nomad, he lives nowhere. But Planet Wise, I consider it Earth 2, a cartoony dimension of our own Planet Earth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...........

It's Mobius. Period.

Not period. Earth is for the games, Mobius for the comic books.--Akamia(Talk)(Want to see what I've been doing?) 23:19, April 4, 2012 (UTC)

What about the genesis games? BlazeChance1 23:21, April 4, 2012 (UTC)

Japanese continuity has it Earth. And as of Adventure, Japanese continuity is canon.--Akamia(Talk)(Want to see what I've been doing?) 23:22, April 4, 2012 (UTC)

@BB: True V true, Mobius is for comics and such. Myself 123 23:24, April 4, 2012 (UTC)

It should be noted that Sonic's planet in Sonic X was never explicitly named. And given that this questionable planet and Chris's Earth were once one and the same, I am feeling safe to call it Earth as well. Just in another dimension.--Akamia(Talk)(Want to see what I've been doing?) 21:41, April 5, 2012 (UTC)
