According to a fansub of the Japanese version I watched, Tails is actually BLAMING Sonic for Cosmo's death. Stupid 4Kids completely changed it but in the Japanese version he says something like "you're supposed to be a hero, why couldn't you save her?"

He does once. I can't remember if it's in comics or if it was in the old cartoons. I think he did in Sonic Underground. I know Knuckles did in Archie while depressed about becoming Enerjak. Tails would cry in SatAM too. Flashfire212 05:13, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

You're wrong with Shadow, though. Even though it was barely anything, in Sonic X, when Chris finally gets Shadow to remember that Maria asked him to "make the world happy," he had already used a chaos power or something like that on Chris, causing him to be weak. When Chris was about to fall to the floor unconscious, Shadow put his hand out to support Chris. Anyways, you find a tear(just one, though) drop from Shadow's eye. I can't remember the episode's number, though. It cracks me up! Why is he crying being one of the darkest creatures in the Sonic Universe, and crying, while Sonic never has(in Sonic X I mean)?! Shadow shed a tear in the game Sonic Adventure 2 and also in the Sonic X adaption of the game. According to Sonic Jam's profiles, Sonic's game character hates tears but he has shed a tear one time in 3 different universes: in DiC's Sonic the Hedgehog TV show (the episode where after temporarily restoring Uncle Chuck's personality to his robotized body and then losing him again), Archie's Sonic the Hedgehog comic book (the cover of the issue where Sonic and Princess Sally break up - I hate that cover and not just because Sonic is curled into a wussy fetal position but also because the art is horrible), and the Sonic X TV show (the episode where he is leaving Chris's world to go back to his, during the 'final run' flashback adult Chris has, young Chris is on Sonic's back as he runs, Chris gets teary eyed and then notices water droplets flying back at him, we only see the back of Sonic's head but it is obvious where they are coming from).
