Forums: Index > Questions > Why is there multiple endings in Shadow the Hedgehog?

I don't know why but it seems confusing, two endings are in the Black Comet, one on Ark, one in Eggman's base, and one in G.U.N. hq. How is that possible? Help me by giving me your anwsers.

P.S.: I'm new here, so go easy on me.

There are a total of 10 endings on Shadow the Hedgehog, excluding The Last Way, as there are many different possible paths you can take, which can affect Shadow's outcome differently. I know I may not have answered your question exactly how you wanted it, but I gave my best shot…

The simple answer is this - the multiple endings is for you to choose who you think Shadow is. Do you like to see him as a really bad guy (pure dark ending) or a hero like Sonic (pure hero ending)? It does say on the box cover "The choices you make determine the outcome of Shadow's future..." and "Friend or foe? You decide!" giving you the distinct impression that you can be either evil or good in the game. Of course, the multiple endings don't reflect Shadow's true nature - just certain aspects/possibilities of him. (referring to the Shadow Android endings) --BloodSonic1

It's an example to show why must you oppose Black Doom. It also proves the different ways that who is lying to Shadow. Who's right and Who's wrong? Why not choose the path and Why choose it? What will happen to Shadow if he's Good Bad Or Neutral? How does it all make sense? See? It answers many questions.--LonelyAssassin 'Vote My Poll' 10:43, October 27, 2009 (UTC)
