I had trouble naming this topic to keep it short and sweet but made sense to what I ma talking about.

The question I wanna ask is: Ever since you became a fan, what has Sonic became to you?

I don't wanna start all that crap again. I am an Atheist and proud of it. I don't need a God but this isn't a general religious discussion. Please lets keep on topic here than talk about faiths.

I would admit though that I am such a fan Sonic that I see him to a religious extent. His games have deeply inspired me to take the path to make my own computer games and his independancy of amazing things makes me wanna be an independent game company of my own! (like Artoon but just me with voluntary and hired assistance like voice actors.) I know this may sound a bit narcissistic but I would be extremely honoured if someday I have my own mainspace article (or at least by the name Destanu or EN?GMA, my hope-to-be company names) the same way Dimps and Bioware got here, being honoured to help Sonic Team make a Sonic game.

My apreciation to Sonic has extended more to just to make games. But, (and I know this may sound extremely silly) to the desire to be a "hero" like Sonic, I know I can never be fast as him, but still I would love to experiance that "rush" he gets whe he saves lives and the way he does it, with his agility and movement, it just seem so incredible. I know it's all silly and dangerous but it is something I wanna do. (Which is why I hope to take up Free running and Parkour. I'd also like to travel the world like Sonic.)

So, this is how important Sonic is to me and probably why when I am an old elder, despite being too old for cartoon heroes I would still hold this hedgehog close to my heart. I wanna know if anyone has simular views on Sonic or that being a fan of his has motivated or effected your life?--Mystic Monkey sez 03:43, March 1, 2010 (UTC)

Without Sonic, I don't know where I'd be right now. He's been my hero for over a decade and has been a close friend to me. I also want to be an independant gamer (actually, the same way YOU want to do it!) I've been a fan ever since I got my first Sonic game, Sonic Adventure. I've played every Sonic game I could possibly get my hands on, either through buying or rental (mostly rental). My first was... well it was Alex Kidd being my firstever game, the second game I ever played as well as my first Sonic game would be Sonic 1. I brought it for the Mega Drive since recall Alex Kidd being built into it.--Mystic Monkey sez 05:26, March 1, 2010 (UTC)
