Frederick Acorn was the King of Mobius and ruler of the Kingdom of Acorn during the Golden Age and was the father of Maximillian Acorn.
History
Becoming King
Like the former monarchs before him, Frederick immersed himself in the Source of All before becoming ruler. His son Maximillian was only a young boy when Frederick granted the wizard Ixis Naugus the title of Royal Wizard. (StH: #58, #64)
Taking in Nate Morgan
After the Overlander scientist Nate Morgan arrived on the edges of the Kingdom of Acorn, expecting to die either from the strain of his travels or by the hands of the Mobians, he ran into Frederick, who took pity on him despite the fears of his royal guard. Invited to stay at Castle Acorn, Nate and Frederick became close personal friends and Nate became the adopted uncle of Frederick's son Maximillian. (StH: #65)
Passing on the Leadership and Death
When Maximillian became ten, Frederick revealed the mysterious Source of All to him, and Max soon bonded with the Source as per royal tradition. The Crown and Sword of Acorns were forged from the Source material that had covered his body. Because of their bonding with the Source of All, the Acorns were granted guidance from the Source. The Source guided Frederick to select the young Alicia to act as Max's future wife. At age eleven, Max and Alicia were betrothed, and upon their eighteen commemoration, the two formally married. As Frederick aged and Max became old enough, he assumed the mantle as king, with Nate Morgan present at the ceremony. Frederick passed away some time afterwards. (StH: #58, #60, #65)
Legacy
His memory remains strong, as an airport in New Mobotropolis (the King Frederick Airfield) has been named after him. (StH: #181)
