History

It is also the location of the North Cave, wherein Sonic the Hedgehog hid the six Chaos Emeralds, both to keep them safe from Doctor Robotnik and to ensure that the sub-zero temperatures kept them stable. Captain Plunder arrived in the Zone to steal the Emeralds, after which Sonic decided to keep them in a locked, temperature-controlled box in his secret base.[1]
TriviaEdit
- The Sonic story in Sonic the Comic #40 was titled "The Frozen Zone", although it actually took place in the Pleasant Zone, which had been frozen by the Chiller.
