The Gaia Gate is a location that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is an ancient portal located in Apotos that is connected to Light Gaia and the Gaia Temples, and is supposedly the most important place on Sonic's World.
History
Upon arriving at the town temple, Gregorios escorted Sonic the Hedgehog, Antoine D'Coolette, and Light Gaia into the Gaia Gate, where he gave them a rundown of the temples' connected inner-workings and the need of the Gaia Keys to enter them. Fearing that the information would eventually leak, he presented them with a list of the locations which the various families possessing the keys resided.[1]
Trivia
- The Gaia Gate is based on the location of the same name in the PlayStation 2/Wii version of Sonic Unleashed, where they can be found in each Town Stages and act as a hub to the different Stages and as well a shortcut to the Gaia Temples.
