Gator resembles a green (though sometimes it may be colored blue) alligator/crocodile-like robot on wheels. It rolls over and chomps the player during the stage. It was in Emerald Hill and Hidden Palace's Debug lists, although it is most known for its appearance in the lost Dust Hill Zone.

This badnik is not listed in any instruction manual. However, it is referred to as "gator" in the game's source code.
This Badnik is called Alligator in early design documents.[citation needed]
Supposedly, the development team of the 2013 edition jokingly referred to this Badnik as "Gatorade", although it did not appear in the final product.[citation needed]
