Gerry Corfu is a character that appears in the Sonic the Comic series published by Fleetway Editions. He was a top chef with his own TV show.
History[]
Gerry was incredibly popular because of his innocent smile and audacious attempts to break records (e.g., by cooking the World's Largest Trifle). However, in an attempt to remain the Numero Uno chef, he sabotaged the shows of all the other TV chefs in the town (including Galloping Graeme and the Two Skinny Llamas, among others). When Tails came to expose him, he unwittingly confessed on live television, then attacked Tails with his giant wooden spoon and tried to drown the fox in his record-breaking trifle. Once submerged, though, Tails was able to spin his tails, splattering Gerry with his own concoction. Gerry was fired on the spot by his manager, bemoaning the fact that he could have been King Cook forever if not for "that fox".[1]
Trivia[]
- Gerry Corfu is named and loosely modelled on celebrity chef Gary Rhodes, particularly his distinctive spiked-up hair. (Corfu and Rhodes are both Greek islands.)
