Gizoids are a group mentioned in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. They are a line of super-robots created by the Nocturnus Clan.[1]
History
The Gizoids were created by the Nocturnus Clan at least hundreds of years ago. When the Nocturnus Clan's personal tech failed, they would fall back upon their Gizoid army.[1]
During his battle with Mega Man, Sonic recalled having previously dealt with Gizoids at some point during the altered timeline of the of the zone under the influence of the second Genesis Wave.[2]
Powers and abilities
The Gizoids are incredibly adaptive and run on highly-advanced artificial intelligence, with each one capable of performing the job an army could.[1]
