The Glaciator is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is an invention created by Dr. Robotnik that can be used to freeze objects or melt ice.

History

The only known existing one was in the posession of Rotor Walrus and was used to unfreeze Mobie. Originally, Rotor planned to melt Mobie slowly over a period of day, but as Sonic the Hedgehog was leaving the hut they were in, he accidentally bumped the Glaciator causing it to melt the ice in a matter of seconds. When Mobie was freed, he went on a rampage and smashed the Glaciator with his club.

• Glaciator is a portmanteau of the words "glacier" and "radiator".
