The Green Material is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a type of Material which is used for construction.

Description[]

Green Material (Sonic Rush Adventure sprite)

In Sonic Rush Adventure, Green Materials look like flat, irregular-shaped green rocks with a swirl embedded on them like a fossil. In the Nintendo 3DS version of Sonic Lost World, they take the form of triangular green leaves, complete with veins and a midrib. Despite the substance's apparent consistency, it is very versatile in building a number of devices.

In gameplay, the Green Materials are used in conjunction with other Materials to build and/or upgrade various machines, such as vessels or RC Vehicles.

Game appearances[]

Sonic Rush Adventure[]

Green Material v2

In Sonic Rush Adventure, the player can earn Green Materials by clearing the following stages' Acts and/or bosses:

The Rank the player gets from clearing Plant Kingdom's levels determines the amount of Green Material earned. The Hidden Islands are exceptions as they always give two Green Materials regardless of Rank:

Rank No. of Materials earned
S Rank (Sonic Rush Adventure) 4 Materials
A Rank (Sonic Rush Adventure) 3 Materials
B Rank (Sonic Rush Adventure) 2 Materials
C Rank (Sonic Rush Adventure) 1 Material

Sonic Lost World[]

In the Nintendo 3DS version of Sonic Lost World, the player can earn Green Materials by clearing Windy Hill's Zones. The Rank the player gets from clearing the Zones determines the amount of Green Material earned:

Rank No. of Materials earned
S Rank (Mini) (Sonic Lost World Wii U) 15 Materials
A Rank (Mini) (Sonic Lost World Wii U) 10 Materials
B Rank (Mini) (Sonic Lost World Wii U) 7 Materials
C Rank (Mini) (Sonic Lost World Wii U) 5 Materials
D Rank (Mini) (Sonic Lost World Wii U) 3 Materials

As an alternative to collecting Green Materials, the player can combine other Materials in Tails' Lab to create Green Materials. To create one Green Material, the player needs at least one Yellow Material and one Blue Material.
