Gregorios is a character who appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. He is an elderly human who lives in Apotos. He is the town's elder and the head priest of the Gaia Gate.

History

Shattered World Crisis

During the Shattered World Crisis, Gregorios was harassed by Metal Sonic, who, by Dr. Eggman's orders, pressured the Apotos citizen on where the location of the local Gaia Temple. However, Eggman sent coordinates to Metal Sonic, commanding him to head to a undisclosed location. Metal Sonic left Gregorios alone, as the Apotos citizen decided to break tradition and warn the others.[1] He subsequently contacted the New Freedom Fighters aboard the Sky Patrol to inform them of a means by which they could defeat Dark Gaia.[2]

Gregorios greeted Sonic the Hedgehog, Antoine D'Coolette, and Chip upon their arrival at the town temple, where he escorted them to the Gaia Gate. There he proceeded to give them a basic rundown of the hidden temples' connected inner-workings and the need of the Gaia Keys in order to enter them. Fearing that the information would eventually leak, he presented them with a list of the locations which the various families possessing the keys resided.[3]

Later, Eggman and his Egg SWATs invaded the Apotos temple and forced Gregorios to reveal the entrance to the Gaia Gate.[4]
