Heat Arms (ヒートアームズ, Heat Arms^?) is a mini-boss from Sonic & Knuckles, as well as its locked-on form, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles. It is encountered in the first act of Lava Reef Zone.

BattleEdit

To start the battle, Heat Arms raises two shooting arms. Both arms shower the screen with shots, then lower to make way for a giant hand. The hand follows the player's movements for a while before trying to crush him/her. This process repeats until the giant hand is destroyed.

If the shooter arms are hit three times each, they are destroyed, so only the hand can attack. The shots fired by the shooter arms can be deflected by a shield.
