The Heavy Shot[1] (ヘビーショット[2] Hebī Shotto?) is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It a Black Arms-created, gun-type weapon usable by both enemies and the player

Description[]

A handgun-based weapon, the Heavy Shot resembles the head of a bird in some ways, with the "beak" being dark purple. Its "eyes" shine a bright white, with the remainder of the weapon being dark green. Like most other weapons in the game, it is very large in comparison to Shadow.

Overview[]

GUPE8P-272

Shadow wielding a Heavy Shot, from Shadow the Hedgehog.

In gameplay of Shadow the Hedgehog, the Heavy Shot can only be found in certain Stages, such as The Last Way and Final Haunt. They can be wielded by enemies aligned with the Black Arms, such as the Black Warriors, who will use them against the player.

Heavy Shots can be dropped by defeated enemies that wield them or released from breakable Containers. Touching one will make the playable character pick it up automatically, and pressing SNNBGAMECUBEDISCO/Square/XboxX (whether on the ground or in mid-air) fires them. As a gun, the Heavy Shot can shoot enemies from a distance (targets within range will be automatically targeted). In comparison to other weapons, it has a medium damage output and a steady firing rate, and since it is common in the Stages it appears in, it is an ideal choice of weapon. A Heavy Shot can fire a total of thirty shots and once those run out, it becomes useless. However, it can be reloaded with another thirty shots by picking up another Heavy Shot.
