The Heritage Project is an event mentioned in the in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It was a project designed to restore ties between the Overland and their ancestral kin in the United Federation.
History[]
The "Heritage Project" was an effort by the Overland to reestablish ties with the United Federation and reunite the Overlanders with their Human cousins. Abraham Tower, future commander of G.U.N., was involved in the project to some degree. The project appears to have been quite successful, as Tower led many of his people to Eurish to join the United Federation following the Great War, and other groups of Overlanders were subsequently welcomed to the United Federation.[1]
