Jamal[1] is a character that appears in the Sonic Underground television series. He is a member of the Azcan Tribe, who serves as one of Ifyoucan's bodyguards, along with Amir.

Appearance[]

Jamal is a green-skinned Toad with a large nose and two tufts of yellow hair protruding from the sides of his head. For attire, he wears a purple robe with an orange fringe, two orange shoulder pads, an orange belt, and a blue turban with an orange stripe.[1]

History[]

TV series[]

Season one[]

Jamal assisted Amir and Ifyoucan in destroying several Swatbots assaulting the Sonic Underground. Once introductions were made, Jamal helped repair their Camper Van, and traveled in it with them back to the base of the Azcan Tribe, where he continued to guard Ifyoucan. Jamal would soon assist Amir in waking up the Kar-lek for Sonic's initiation test by throwing lit torches down its pit. After watching Sonic's defeat of the creature, and returning to the Azcan base, Amir would play a tambourine to accompany the Sonic Underground's music performance. Despite this, however, Jamal and Amir would capture Manic and leave him in the Sun Snare Drum to prevent him from telling others about Ifyoucan's roboticization. However, Ifyoucan himself did not approve of this decision, and was furious with Jamal and Amir for doing such a thing. Jamal would later be captured along with the rest of the Azcan tribe (excluding Ifyoucan and Sonic) by Sleet and Dingo, but would soon be freed, at which he would fight back the advancing Swatbot horde with his laser rifle. Following the battle, Jamal would return to serving as Ifyoucan's bodyguard, and would make amends with Manic, and show his support of Ifyoucan remaining the leader of the Azcan Tribe by chanting his name.[1]

Personality[]

Jamal is entirely loyal to Ifyoucan, serving as one of his personal bodyguards.[1]

Powers and abilities[]

Jamal is proficient in using his laser rifle, being able to shoot down targets with accuracy. Jamal also possesses a gold-colored sword, which implies he is capable of using it.[1]
