You're looking at the best of Cap'n Whisker's agents. The fastest of the fast. The sultan of speed. The embodiment of awesome! The name's Johnny and you all will eat my dust.

— Johnny, Sonic the Hedgehog #180

Johnny is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comics series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. He was a robot pirate who served as the protector and best agent of Captain Whisker. Together, they were under the employment of Dr. Eggman Nega.

History[]

Johnny first encountered Sonic the Hedgehog and Tails after stealing the green Chaos Emerald from Marine the Raccoon. Once stolen, Johnny boasted about himself, saying he was "the best of Cap'n Whisker's agents. The fastest of the fast. The sultan of speed. The embodiment of awesome!" Following this, Sonic, Tails and Marine chased after him.[1] Later, Sonic, Tails, Marine and Blaze the Cat gathered together and fought against Johnny, Captain Whiskers and Dr. Nega and retrieved the Chaos Emerald.[2] Despite their defeat, Johnny and Whisker proved to be continual thorns in Blaze's side.[3]

Note: From this point, Johnny's history continues from his new life in the altered timeline.

Personality[]

Johnny is boastful and arrogant, supremely confident in his own speed and abilities.

Powers and abilities[]

Johnny possesses a high degree of super speed, enough to let him keep up with even Sonic, be it either by running, flying, or on riding on jet ski.[3] He also possesses a jet engine on his back that grants him flight.
