Kwai Chang Crane is an old ninja master that trains young warriors such as Grasshopper. He is always calm and is never the one to start the fight, but always the one to finish it.
History
Edit
Robotnik captured Crane to give Scratch and Grounder ninja skills using his Crane Brain Drainer. Each time Scratch and Grounder failed, Crane would give Robotnik clues as to how to make his plans more effective. Eventually Robotnik was defeated by Sonic, Tails and Grasshopper. When Sonic attempts to free Crane, the old bird frees himself and later reveals to Sonic that he only let Robotnik capture him for the adventure.[1]
TriviaEdit
- Kwai Chang Crane is named after Kwai Chang Caine, the main character from the TV series Kung Fu. His student Grasshopper is named after the same character, as in the series Caine is nicknamed "Grasshopper" by his Master Po.
- The Crane Style is one of five animal styles of Shaolin martial arts.
