Lava Monsters are an army of henchmen created by Dr. Robotnik through the use of the Chaos Emerald of Life.
Abilities

The Lava Monsters are very large and strong, able to pick up people in one hand and keep them from escaping. When a Lava Monster is cut in half, it will regenerate into two Lava Monsters. They are not hot, anyone can touch them without being burned.[1]
