The Locky is a creature that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. They are a race of bald eagle Mobinis that inhabit Sonic's World. The Lockies are constantly captured by Dr. Eggman who uses them as batteries for his various Badniks.
Description
Anatomy
The general Locky resembles a miniature bald eagle, except with a much larger head. They have a black plummage with a white head, two large black eyes, a slightly small but sharp orange beak, large wings compared to other Mobini, and two orange three-toed feet with claws.
History
Hunted and freed
Following Dr. Eggman's uprising, the Lockies have perpetually been kidnapped by the Eggman Empire to be used as power sources for the Badnik Horde employed by Eggman and his various Egg Army factions. Over the course of time, the Freedom Fighters and other parties have freed countless Lockies from their robot shells during their battles with Badniks.
Shattered World Crisis
Amidst the Shattered World Crisis, a Locky was saved by Sonic when it was caught near a planetary fault line and followed Sonic for a while in gratitude.[1][2]
