Template:Item The Lost Labyrinth treasure is a mysterious orb of unknown magenta energy that Metal Sonic discovers and obtains at Lost Labyrinth Zone during Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode Metal.

Game Appearances

Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode Metal

Metal Sonic finds it in an altar in a hidden room in Lost Labyrinth Zone. He walks up to the altar and absorbs the treasure. After absorbing the orb, Metal Sonic gains a massive energy surge and blasts through the zone, moving onto the next one.

Upon arrival at Splash Hill Zone, Metal Sonic uses the power of the treasure to scare the gaily bounding animals, before using a nearby rocket to continue his pursuit of Sonic the Hedgehog.

Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode II

In Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode II, Metal Sonic uses powers he gained from the artifact to attack Sonic and Tails in two of the five boss battles he's involved in. However, his efforts prove futile as Metal Sonic is defeated once again.

Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed

It shows up when Metal Sonic uses his All-Star Move. When activated, the artifact upgrades Metal's speed and his Black Shield attack, greatly increasing its radius and knock-back power.

Powers and Traits

The artifact appears to be a very powerful energy source. By harnessing its power, Metal Sonic could use its energy to augment his power, with his power boost being so potent that he would release a harmful purple energy shockwave from his body once he was succesfully charged, and he would give off a magenta aura. While using the articfact's power, Metal Sonic's physical strength is increased to the point where he could destroy entire tracklines up to three times in succession with a single Spin Dash[1] and he becomes temporarily invulnerable to harm when charging its power.

Besides magnifying Metal Sonic's own abilities, the articfact also grants Metal Sonic the ability to project energy, allowing the robot to generate pillars of electricity that exist for a prolonged period of time and create massive spheres of energy.
