Mecha Sonic is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic book series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It was a powerful robot based on Sonic the Hedgehog and created by Dr. Eggman.
History
Mecha Sonic was part of the invasion force employed by Dr. Eggman on Angel Island during his initial invasion, and it thus worked in tandem with both the doctor and Dr. Snively. This resulted in multiple clashes between it, Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles the Echidna after the Guardian learned of the Humans' treachery. It managed to steal the Master Emerald and briefly attained a Super-State, but ultimately proved to be no match for the heroes.[1][2]
Powers and abilities
Mecha Sonic resembled a cross between the second Silver Sonic and Metal Sonic, being closer to the former in size but more like the latter in abilities. It was flight capable, super fast, super strong, and could also perform Sonic's signature Spin Dash.
