    • Some dude vandalized the scripts on dev.wikia.com, where several major wikis import their code. Of course, that caused havoc on plenty of wikis, assuming that Wikia was in the process of getting hacked.

On the Sonic News Network there was no reports of any malicious code, however several of our templates that runs on imported code has crashed such as our TwitterWidget and the UpdateWidget. It basically left a mess here.

Wikia came out in a official statement assuring everything is okay, and the codes on the said wiki are now locked.

    • I found out there were vandals earlier on the Dev wikia who used the markup that blanked the interface and replaced it with memes, unwanted text and other pornographic content links. I also heard from Disgust that her members of the headquarters are unhappy because of that said incident.

That's now, but it doesn't justify the fact the community ignored the 127 days to comment on it. They had since April, Livsi. April.

Again, the fact I learned the consensus more than 100 days after doesn't change anything but the fact the community waited on the last minute.

Does it really matter when? For some users, the given reason was it got stale over time.

Yes it does. If there's a problem it should be resolved in a matter of days, not 1/3rd of the entire year - especially on a small thing like chat messages. This is contrary on how a community works.

    • You know what, I'm sick and tired of this bickering. Livsi, you can pander we have consensus now - while I do appreciate it, I'm angered at the fact this wasn't brought up earlier.

This community has ought to be ashamed of themselves for using my departure as an advantage to express disapproval of my actions because I wasn't there - even though it wasn't the first time either.

Saying stuff in the chatroom is no different then saying stuff on the forum; no one should assume they're hidden because of a extra button.

This community is definitely not entitled to the goodies I've been promising them the past few months.

This community needs to learn to stop backstabbing their users, and to get rid of the "not contacting anyone regarding an issue" behavour. 127 days is too long to say I don't like this.

Messages has been reverted. I'm returning back to observe the chatroom.

I'm disgusted. Closing this thread now.

  • Hi Journalistic,

I apologise for making the role-play on the General Discussion Board. I didn't know it was forbidden and I promise to never do it again. My humble apologies!! Thanks.

  • http://sonic.wikia.com/wiki/Thread:374341 This thread isn't breaking any policy, it's simply a continuous story thread, with regular users, not roleplay accounts which isn't disruptive as it belongs solely in the thread, unless you think otherwise.

      Loading editor
    • The point is: they're roleplaying. That's against policy. I don't know where your looking but it is written in pure English on the main policy page: no roleplaying. Plus, why are accounts being brought up? The roleplaying rule counts in general, it isnt only account-wise.

There is an entire wiki dedicated to roleplaying so doing RPs here would be redundant.

    • Roleplaying was banned because it started annoying people as users RP'd characters to portray themselves vocally in the community which would be annoying because it's foolish and uncalled for. The thread is simply users bringing about the characters there, and only there, which is not disruptive because I can't think of a way it would be carried away with. If the thread didn't have the RP word to it and users wrote "Then sonic said", instead of a "Sonic: ..." it wouldn't have been banned.

However, this thread can and should be banned for fanfiction on the wiki's thread. I'd advise you to do that.

Because the thread is basically advocating sending useless messages to a company that is already financially suffering. Sega is run by people you know? Give the employees a break from your fanfiction for god's sake.

That wasn't a remake, that was a remaster copy. Those two things are different. A typical 13 year old should know that.

  • Psycho changed her avatar. She has been talking to me on another site, and says she wasn't actually refusing to change it and you were just a wee bit hasty and blocked her before she got a chance to change it. I decided to unblock her since she changed her avatar, and she doesn't really cause any hassle on the mainspace. And although I didn't unban her from chat, I shortened her ban to one week, if that's fine with you.

    • I've already discussed with her. She's not going to influence us with sympathy after deliberately ignoring our requests. She clearly attempted to loophole the policy by adding one half of the offending image with another half of a unoffending image. And again, she ignored our requests for almost a half hour. She started to notice our requests after the entire moderating staff told her to change the avatar. Prior, I asked her to change her avatar and she clearly ignores by continuing her discussion with other users, even with big text and private messaging. After she was blocked, she even changed her avatar to another that's also in violation.

      The changes will be reversed.
