Just ran into this situation where one had an article moved from its official name into some random names.
So what need I do to get it revert back to normal; Delete the redirect article then move the already-renamed article back to that deleted article's name, yes?
Like for example: Scourge the Hedgehog was renamed into "sonic.wikia//Scourge_Da_Green_Hog". Then if I am an admin of this wikia, in order I should to do is; delete "Scourge the Hedgehog" article, then get "sonic.wikia//Scourge_Da_Green_Hog" renamed back into "Scourge the Hedgehog".
Well, not while it's presented. So I followed other Admin's example by delete the redirect then move the vandalized one into that article.
(Just remember, this is an example.)
Step 1: Delete "Scourge the Hedgehog"
Step 2: Renaming "Scourge Da Green Hog" (vandalized article) into "Scourge the Hedgehog" (but sometimes can leave the redirect on "Da Green Hog" article)
Step 2.5: If the redirect was left behind, then I should put up the protect on that so it wouldn't be vandalized outside redirect.
And the reason why I had to rely on you was because those two wikias (FNaF World, where I am solo-admin (and actively) at the minute and Sally Face Wikia, where all Admins have been replaced with new staffs with little knowledge of how to deal with the problems). Therefore I have to learn from the ones I trusted.
Hey, can you help move Bladed Spinner over to Spinner? As the talk page shows, the article name was supposed to be changed a while ago but nothing ever came of it for some reason. Also, the Spinners' Archie article might need to be changed too, since it was previously named after the falsified E-Series designation.
What are we gonna do, Ultra? Copying from other Fandom wikis isn't as bad as copying from Retro as we share licensing, but if you are going to do it, you need to give proper credit. SNN is never going to be perfect, sometimes other wikis will have better pages, or get theirs up quicker. You have to accept this because what you're doing right now is far more hurtful than a few pages not being up to snuff. Who would want to use a wiki that just takes from everyone else? And I don't think I need to point out how unfair it is to the people who make these pages. I even see that you've continued to take from Retro as well, despite the situation we're currently in.
You were let off with a warning before because you're a hardworking user who's helped out the wiki immensely and because I thought you were better than this... now I'm not so sure.
I already did say I thought it was a bad idea to have multiple different franchise spin off versions of Sonic Wikia like IDW, StC & Archie Sonic where we could just shove everything into the one Wikia like SNN so not to run into problems like this as well as making management less needlessly complex.
For all my attempts to be a non-copy editor, I seem to have made som mistakes of my own. Thank you for bringing that to my attention Myself123. However, I suppose that I have a few explanations for them.
In regards to the IDW content, I simply forgot about that template, plain and simple. I apologize for forgetting to add that template, but it is hard to remember all the details, especially when you are feeling hurt.
Continuing to the deal about me still taking Retro content, I am not sure what you are taking about. I admit that I have been using Sonic Retro as a source of inspiration, but I have not copy-pasted from them in a while. If I have, then I apparently have no idea of how to go about this. That is why I need you guys more than ever to tell me what I am doing wrong.
I am trying to make a conscious effort to avoid these situations, I promise, but apparently, I am not doing a good job despite my best efforts. If you could tell me what I am doing wrong and helping me correct it however, then perhaps I can get a better grasp on what should be done.
It was the Smash Ultimate page, I saw that DeCool talked to you about it in late December, perhaps you haven't done it since then, but the fact that you've continued to do it after you were originally caught worries me.
That template is an absolute must if you're copying from other Fandom wikis, but it's just preferable to create our own articles.
Environmental Objects are melee weapons in Shadow the Hedgehog. That is the name the Prima guide for Shadow the Hedgehog calls it. It is a complicated subject to write about because such an object can be anything from a roadsign, to a touch, etc. You're welcome to try and write it, however.
