The Metropolis East Leisure Centre[1] is a location that appears in the Sonic the Comic series published by Fleetway Editions. It is a leisure centre located in the Metropolis Zone.

Description

Metropolis East Leisure Centre was a leisure centre where visitors could participate in various actives, including swimming. After its shut-down however, the building would gradually decay. On the side of the building, graffiti is written.[1]

History

Before Dr. Robotnik's takeover, Smokey would visit the Metropolis East Leisure Centre every Saturday to go swimming. After Robotnik seized power, however, the leisure centre got shut down and condemned.[1]

In 1996, Smokey and pet Badnik would hang out in the abandoned leisure centre when Sonic the Hedgehog showed up, hot on the trail of a Badnik, only to get attacked by Troopers. While taking care of the Troopers, Sonic discovered Smokey's Badnik, but Smokey convinced him not to destroy it.[1]
