He is known for withholding water from prisoners, and on the one occasion that he drenched one with a bucket of liquid, it was definitely not water.[1] He also relishes the idea of killing escaping prisoners, claiming that it would save the government the cost of a hanging. When Captain Plunder and Simpson the Cat attempted to escape, he and Plunder started to fight. They were nearly evenly matched, until Simpson painted a hole on the floor in the black paint, and Gullets fell through it, never to be seen again.[2]
