As such, they have very high standards to the lairs they consider including in their issues and sends their people to do site inspections to judge whether they qualify or not.[1]

Season one

For their "Island fortress" issue, Modern Lair Magazine considered including Dr. Eggman's lair and sent Dr. Eggman an exposition. Gunther, the assistant of one of their photographers, Diane Aardvark, came to the lair to do a site inspection, but was unimpressed. However, he was convinced by Eggman to give him a week to redecorate. When he returned, Gunther was pleased at the changes Amy had made and promised to return the next day with Diane. When they came back however, the lair had been trashed by Team Sonic, making Diane fire her assistant for his poor judgment and she left as Eggman pleaded for another chance.[1]
