Description[]
Music Plant is a colorful stage full of musical instruments that serve as gimmicks the player can use to proceed through the level.
Story[]
Upon arriving at Music Plant, Sonic continues his quest of stopping Dr. Eggman. From there, he confronts the mad doc in his Egg Totem with Tails being tied up. After destroying the mech, Eggman escapes yet again, and Tails is freed from captivity. Although he still has no idea of what Eggman is planning, the young fox cub decides to tag along with Sonic on his adventure once again.

Boss[]
For this boss fight, the player fights Eggman in his Egg Totem. The machine sends flying spiked disks towards the player's character with a small cannon appearing on the top or bottom, firing projectiles. The player's goal is to quickly stand on the disks before they return back and attack the cockpit. The battle ends after eight hits have been dealt.
Defeating this boss for the first time as Sonic will unlock Tails as a playable character.
