Neo South Island Zone is the first zone in Sonic the Hedgehog Pocket Adventure. The zone is visually similar to Green Hill Zone, but the actual level layout is a condensed version of Emerald Hill Zone with more loops.
Act 1 starts in the plains, while going through the hills. Act 2 has a level feature borrowed from Palmtree Panic of Sonic the Hedgehog CD. Dr. Eggman is fought in a machine that moves like the Drill Eggman, but has a hammer in front of it that slams up and down. The concept was revisited for the Egg Hammer Tank in Sonic Advance. After you beat him, you get to the capsule and clear the zone.
- The music of act 1 is a remix of Sonic World from Sonic Jam.
- The music of act 2 is a remix of Angel Island Zone Act 1 from Sonic the Hedgehog 3.
