Changes: Nerb Freedom Fighters

This group exists primarily or exclusively within the Pre-Super Genesis Wave continuity.

Information in this article may not be canonical to the storyline of the games or any other Sonic continuity.

The Nerb Freedom Fighters are a group of Freedom Fighters composed of Nerbs, who were inspired by the Knothole Freedom Fighters. They oppose the efforts of takeover by the Nerb Dark Egg Legion (Nerb D.E.L) and its Grandmaster, the Foreman.

History

Obviously inspired by the Knothole Freedom Fighters' efforts to save them from Dr. Robotnik, the Nerb Freedom Fighters broke from the conformist traditions of the race to stand up against Doctor Eggman and his local Dark Egg Legion. Bringing together a blue-haired hero, a princess, an inventor, a former Legionnaire and a warrior, the group set out to liberate their people from invaders.

Trivia

Each Nerb Freedom Fighter is a parody of a member of the Knothole Freedom Fighters:
- Sonic the Hedgehog - Blue-haired Nerb
- Sally Acorn - Nerb princess
- Miles "Tails" Prower - Nerb with mechanical skills
- Antoine D'Coolette - Snooty Nerb
- Bunnie Rabbot - Legionized Nerb who defected from the Legion
- For unknown reasons, Rotor Walrus does not have a Nerb parody of himself.
The Nerb Freedom Fighters first appeared in the Complete Sonic Encyclopedia.
