Ninja Arts: Camouflage (忍法・隠れ身の術, Ninpō kakure mi no jutsu^?, lit. "Ninja Technique: Art of Hiding") is a technique used by Espio the Chameleon during the Challenge Act Espio: Master of Camouflage in Sonic Generations. When using this technique, Espio turns himself invisible and becomes virtually invulnerable.

Description

When using Ninja Arts: Camouflage, Espio shouts the technique's name and uses his innate abilities to blend with the environment, essentially turning himself nearly invisible, while giving off transparent green leaves that swirl around himself. While using this technique, Espio cannot be targeted by the player, avoids any attacks directed at him as if he was intangible, and as well move over long distances in an instant, similar to teleportation. In addition, lasers pass directly through him.

The flaw of this technique is that it requires Espio's concentration to be maintained, and will falter should he lose focus. As seen during the Challenge Act, should Espio be blinded by sharp sources of light, he will lose his concentration and become visible, leaving him vulnerable to targeting and harm.
