Omochao is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is a Chao-based robot who serves as a robotic aid for the Freedom Fighters.

History

During the first hours of the Shattered World Crisis where Sonic's World broke apart, Omochao was deployed with Team Fighters when the Freedom Fighters went to Station Square to rescue the civilians caught in the devastation. As Team Fighters fought to save lives, Omochao served as their communication link to Sally as she coordinated the team's efforts until G.U.N. arrived.[2] He would later join T-Pup, Big the Cat, and Cheese in backing up Cream the Rabbit in a mission to rescue Team Fighers and Team Freedom from a trap set by Dr. Eggman.[3] He would also appear as part of the force of heroes assembled to battle Sigma-1, which also included the Freedom Fighters, Mega Man, Knuckles the Echidna, some Wily Robot Masters, Gemerl, Quake Woman, Team Sticks, the Maverick Hunters, Break Man, Dr. Light, Auto, and Roll.[4]

Powers and abilities

Omochao possesses a propeller on top of its head that allows it to fly in mid-air.[2] While it can move at high speed in flight, it cannot move at speeds matching that of the Bullet Train.[5]

Omochao is able to project live-feed holographic videos from its eyes and works as a wireless telecommunication device, essentially making it a video telephone.[2]
