Paul[1] is a character that appears in the Sonic X comic series published by Archie Comics. He is a member of the Speed Team.

Appearance[]

Paul is a bald middle-aged man with black hair, brown eyes and brown skin. As a member of the Speed Team, he is shown to wear the team's uniform.

History[]

Archie Comics[]

Paul was first seen with Sam Speed and Dawn, timing Sam on his speed in a race with Sonic he was having. He noted that Sam's time was his best one yet, though Sam shot down his praise by reminding him that Sonic was still faster. The three members of the Speed Team then decided to head back to their garage to tune up their cars.[1] While doing so, Paul informed Sam that a strange kid was at the door with a package for him.

Some time later, Paul was washing one of the team's cars with Dawn. At that point, the team was informed of illegal street races, so Paul, along with the others, Sonic included, raced off to confront the criminals, and upon doing so, stopped their illegal activities. Returning to the garage, Paul and Dawn were fixing up one of the cars when the Speed Team was once again called out, this time to confront an alien spacecraft.[2]

Paul was later seen at the Sapphire Sea Refinery, where he attempted to assist in putting out a fire. When Sam showed up and used his new Speed 5000 to put out the fire, he and Dawn were soaked in water. Soon after, Sam lost control of his car and nearly hurt his two friends, but they were instead saved by Sonic. Paul and Dawn soon managed to contact Sam via his wrist communicator, who asked them to put Chuck Thorndyke on the line.[3]
