The Pink Rose (ピンクローズ Pinkurōzu?) is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a Board Type Extreme Gear that was originally created by Robotnik Corp., and is Amy's personal Gear.

Description[]

The Pink Rose first appeared in Sonic Riders. According to its profile, it was built by Robotnik Corp. as a Speed Type for women. It is one of the Extreme Gears available from the start of the game by default. It is only useable to Amy in this game.

The Pink Rose's design in Sonic Riders is that of a basic board with smooth corners and an exhaust port in the rear that is shaped like a heart. The Pink Rose itself is decorated with different color schemes that makes up layers from its outer borders and inward; on the outer layer/edges it is colored in a shade of light pink, the middle layer is colored yellow and its innermost layer and exhaust port is colored in a darker shade of pink.

Abilities and traits[]

As a Board-type Extreme Gear in Sonic Riders, the Pink Rose is well-balanced in its attributes with average statistics, an average rate of fuel-consumption and is suited for general riding, making it a easy-go-to Extreme Gear for the beginner.

Like most other character exclusive Extreme Gears, the Pink Rose does not possess any unique abilities.

The Pink Rose made a return in Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity. According to its profile, it is this time the newest model from Accevice Corp, but re-tuned especially for Amy with specs to make it superior to those models that could be bought in the stores. Just like in Sonic Riders, the Pink Rose is one of the Extreme Gears available from the start of the game by default. It is only useable to Amy in normal races, but is usable to all characters (except Dr. Eggman) in Survival Relay.

In Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity, the Pink Rose was given a redesign. In this game, the Pink Rose is made more bulky and broad, while curving slightly inward at the midsection. The main section of the Pink Rose is white, with thick pink accents on the edges and two pink heart-shaped exhaust ports on the rear. It also has two grey circular foot panels on the top surface with a grey area between them.

The Pink Rose made another reappearance in Sonic Free Riders. According to its profile, it is in this game the lastest model from Accelovice and been tuned just for Amy, making it a unique Extreme Gear model in its own right. It is unlocked in this game, alongside Team Rose's and Team Dark's story, when completing Team Heroes's and Team Babylon's stories. It is only useable to Amy in normal races, but is usable to all characters (except Dr. Eggman and Vector) in Relay Race.

Like in Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity, the Pink Rose received a new design in Sonic Free Riders. In this game, the Pink Rose returns to having more board-like proportions as it had in Sonic Riders, but with more straight sides. The inner section of the Pink Rose is grey, with thick pink accents on the front and rear and thinner pink accents on the mid-section. On its top surface it also has two dark grey circles, with dark grey and red segments encircling and connecting them and a small yellow segment on the front.

As a Board type Extreme Gear in Sonic Free Riders, the Pink Rose is, like in Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity, well-balanced in its attributes and is suited for general riding.

Like in the previous titles, the Pink Rose possesses no unique abilities of its own, but it can be equipped with two Gear Parts.

Sonic Speed Simulator[]

In Sonic Speed Simulator, the Pink Rose appears in its Sonic Free Riders design as an unlockable Extreme Gear earned during the second part of the "Freestyle Riders" event by scoring 10,000 Points. Alternatively, it can be purchased for 499 Robux. Once unlocked, the Pink Rose can be used by any character, and essentially functions similarly to all other Extreme Gears in the game. The Pink Rose also has an in-game rarity of "Epic".

In the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics, the Pink Rose is Amy Rose's personal Extreme Gear.

Trivia[]

  • The Pink Rose's name is derived from the color of Amy's fur and quills, and her surname.
  • In French, Amy's gear name would translate as "Pink Pink" or "Rose Rose", due to the fact that "rose" is the French word for "pink".
  • All versions of the Pink Rose are made by producer and purposely remodeled for Amy's personal use to be better then the average model.
