Planet Metallix[1] is a location that appears in the Sonic the Comic series published by Fleetway Editions. It was the name given to Mobius in a timeline where the Brotherhood of Metallix took over the planet.

Description

Devoid of any remnants of Mobius, Planet Metallix is covered in nightmarish and twisted metal and industry, with enormous firepits roaring all over the planet's surface. Countless Metallixes roam the surface and the remains of the original inhabitants of the planet live deep underground, led by Dr. Ovi Kintobor.

History

Past

Planet Metallix's early history was most likely largely the same as its main timeline counterpart's. The point of divergence was when the Brotherhood of Metallix went back in time and prevented Dr. Ovi Kintobor's transformation into Dr. Ivo Robotnik.[2][3] Without Robotnik, the Metallix were never designed with a self-destruct program when Grimer created them.[4] Additionally, Sonic the Hedgehog was killed early on.[1] With no one left to interfere with them, the Brotherhood of Metallix took over Mobius, cyber-forming it into Planet Metallix and forcing the remains of the original inhabitants of the planet to hide underground, led by Dr. Kintobor.[5][6][1]

Return of the Chaotix

Having been protected from the Brotherhood of Metallix's alterations of the past,[2] Sonic the Hedgehog, Porker Lewis and the Chaotix Crew fled to Planet Metallix from the Miracle Planet, only to run into more Metallix.[1] Saved by the Dr. Ovi Kintobor of Planet Metallix, the heroes were introduced to the Underground.[1][2] Sonic explained the situation to the doctor before the crew decided to travel back in time in order to stop the creation of Planet Metallix by ensuring the existence of Dr. Robotnik.[2] Once Sonic restored the proper course of history, Planet Metallix ceased to be and Mobius was restored.[2][3]
