Power Plant

Next stage >>

Power Plant is the fourth stage in Sonic Heroes. It looks and plays similar to its preceding stage, Grand Metropolis.

This stage takes place in the same city as Grand Metropolis, and still features the same blue roads that pull the player forward even when they are not running. Vertical versions of these paths also appear, pulling the characters up to a higher level of the plant. There are also sections where the player will ride on a rising circular platform on top of a bottomless pit.

The teams have entered on of HEXAeco's power generating energy facilities. Now, the primary objective is for the teams to stop Eggman from stealing the city's energy by clearing out the plant. Team Sonic must escape the plant while clearing it of enemies. Team Dark must escape the plant as well while fulfilling Omega's desire to smash as many of Eggman's army as possible. Team Rose must escape the plant to follow Sonic. The end of the stage is tricky for Team Sonic and is especially difficult for Team Dark, as the player must escape an energy storage tank in which the molten energy is rising. A single mistake could spell disaster. Thankfully, there is a checkpoint right before this section, allowing the player to restart right before the rising storage tank. Using Team Dark's Team Blast to freeze time can help if the energy is coming too quickly. Another trick to make this part easy is to use the Fly Formation as much as possible, even on other characters' sections. The Goal Ring is in front of Team Sonic and Team Dark after they escape the Power Plant. Ordered by their client, Team Chaotix sets out through the city to destroy three gold turtle robots which control the city which the strategy for is mentioned below:

Team Chaotix's mission

  • The first turtle.
  • The second turtle.
  • The third turtle.
  • The fourth turtle.
  • The fifth turtle.

In this assignment, Team Chaotix must find and destroy three Golden Turtle robot somewhere in the plant. In the extra mission, they must destroy all five golden turtle robots in the level.

To destroy the special Golden Turtles, the player must first destroy or activate all items around it then switch to Espio, perform a whirlwind to bring the robot upside down and then switch to Vector to destroy it.
