Knuckles punches the ground, causing an unavoidable earth attack that may stun the entire opposing team.

— Description, Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood[1]

Quake Punch (クエイクパンチ Kueikupanchi?) is a POW move used by Knuckles the Echidna in Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood. When performing this move, Knuckles punches the ground, unleashing tremors on the opponents. This attack is unavoidable, deals elemental Earth damage to all enemies present, and may leave the foes stunned.

Description[]

When performing Quake Punch, Knuckles walks up in front of the opposing enemies and starts punching into the ground, releasing shock-waves on the opponents that causes the earth to shake violently. After punching the ground a few times, Knuckles jumps high into the air and then dives straight into the ground, striking it with his both his fists first and creating one final tremor to strike the opponents, before returning to his team position.

In gameplay, Quake Punch deals attack damage to all enemies present on the opposing side of the battlefield, while dealing elemental Earth damage. This attack will always hit the opponents, regardless of their stats. When it deals damage, Quake Punch has a chance of inflicting stun on the opponents. The higher the level of Quake Punch is, the more attack damage it will deal and the greater the possibility that it will inflict stun on an opponent.

Real-Time Interaction[]

When performing Quake Punch in gameplay, the player has to complete a series of real-time events by performing certain actions on the Touch Screen, in order to execute Quake Punch optimally:

  1. The player has to tap an inner circle that appears eight times, before the outer circle overlap the inner circle.
  2. The player has to touch the inside of two circles in succession when the outer circles overlap the inner circles.

Missing or not touching these circles correctly will result in the damage from the attack being reduced.
