The Quantum Dial is a device used by the Xorda to destroy planets. In essence, the Quantum Dial creates a black hole which envelopes the planet it is used on as well as the entire solar system. The Xorda used a Quantum Dial during their attack on Mobius. The Quantum Dial also had a defence system prevented any technological instruments from getting close to it. Sonic the Hedgehog managed to destroy the device from the inside after Knuckles the Echidna destroyed its defences, though its destruction caused an anomaly which transported Sonic hundreds of thousands of light years away.
