The Rapid Tails Attack (連続シッポ回転 Renzoku Shippo Kaiten?, lit. "Continuous Tail Rotation") is an upgraded version of the Tails Swipe, which can only be used by Miles "Tails" Prower when he has the Rhythm Badge. It has only appeared in Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut. This move is basically an undisrupted chain of Tail Swipes.

Description

In order to use the Rapid Tails Attack, Tails must have obtained the Rhythm Badge. The mechanics behind the Rapid Tails Attack is identical to the Tail Swipe where Tails is performing a 360° spin while lashing out with his twin tails to damage any enemies. The key difference between this move and the normal Tail Swipe is that Tails performs a continuous, undisrupted chain of Tail Swipe by performing whirling motions on his hands and feet, similar to breakdancing, which results him in sweeping across the ground, damaging anything he collides. This counters for the vulnerability when using a single Tail Swipe.

To perform this move, the player must simply be holding the action button down. As long as the action button is held, Tails will keep doing the Rapid Tails Attack.

Trivia

  • The Rapid Tails Attack when being used looks like Tails is breakdancing.
