Records are collectible items that appear in the PlayStation 3/Xbox 360 version of Sonic Unleashed. Each Record contains a background music track from the game's Town Stages, Entrance Stages, Acts, boss battles and themes. There are a total of 62 Records available in the game.
The Records are found in various locations in the game and can be collected in different ways; they can either be found inside the Acts of the Action Stages and Entrance Stages where they appear as floating gramophone records that can be picked by touching them, be purchased from shops in the Town Stages with Rings and be given from Professor Pickle after giving him a Souvenir.
In gameplay, the player can listen to the Records in Pickle's Room after clearing Savannah Citadel Night Act 1. To listen to the Records in Professor Pickle's room in Spagonia, the player must purchase the Gramophone and to listen to them in Professor Pickle's room in Shamar, the player must purchase the Audio System.
