The Red Gem (レッドジェム Reddojemu?) is an optional upgrade for Sonic the Hedgehog in Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) and is one of the seven customized Gems that can be obtained in the game.

The Red Gem is a red emerald cut gem, similar to a Sol Emerald that can be equipped on Sonic's Custom Shoes. When used, it allows Sonic to perform Slow, which slows down time.
While having set Sonic's Custom Shoes to utilize the Red Gem's ability, the Red Gem changes the appearance of the Custom Shoes into a red pair of shoes resembling Sonic's Soap shoes.
LocationEdit
In Sonic the Hedgehog (2006), the Red Gem becomes available at the local shop, once the player clears Tails' version of Wave Ocean in the main story. It can then be bought for 7000 Rings.
