A Retro Block is an object that appears in the Sonic the Comic series published by Fleetway Editions. It is a special kind of prison cell used by minions of Doctor Robotnik.
Description
It resembles a cube-shaped room made of grey brick, with a barred window on one wall, suspended in midair in the middle of a column of light and coloured orbs. If a prisoner tries to escape, then any force they use is reflected back on them.
Metamorphia attempted to imprison Sonic the Hedgehog in a Retro Block in the Grim Zone, but Sonic made himself relax and think calm thoughts, which caused the Retro Block to burst.[1]
