Rhino Neil from the Sonic Holiday Special 1995. Art by Mike Hadley.

Rhino Neil is a character that appears in the Sonic the Comic series published by Fleetway Editions. He was a disguise of Doctor Robotnik which was used to trick the Freedom Fighters.

He offered Sonic and the Freedom Fighters a vacation in his new Paradise Dome. All of the Freedom Fighters chose to accept the offer, except for Sonic.

In fact, Rhino Neil was Doctor Robotnik in disguise, and the Paradise Dome was a trap. Luckily, Sonic realised the deception (after "Rhino Neil" referred to him as "Spikeball") and returned in time to save his friends.[1]

  • Rhino Neil is a reference to American actor Ryan O'Neal.
