RhinoBots are seen dashing around at Angel Island Zone, where they are the more fast paced enemies than other badniks in the Zone. Is is seen driving around back and forth on flat terrain with linear pattern. Because of this, RhinoBots don't drop down from hillocks, but rather does a hard U-turn.
When the player arrives near close to the RhinoBot, the badnik will react and start dashing towards into the playable character. The player can simply jump over the badnik, but it will do U-turn and try attack behind the character. The player can simply Spin Jump, Spin Attack into RhinoBot or even load the Spin Dash to defeat it and free animal inside of it.
RhinoBots are heavily similar to Moto Bugs in terms of design and featuring a single wheel below the body. They have grey armor with orange lines and small ventilation holes. RhinoBot's head has two horns on the orange nose part, mean eyes and metallic ears.
RhinoBot charges at full speed towards Sonic, Tails and Knuckles when they stand in its path. It can equal the player's running speed, but is unable to catch up to a Spin Dash. RhinoBot will not fall off ledges and will turn around if it comes across one.
