The Roboticizer is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog television series. It is a device originally created by Sir Charles Hedgehog to help the elderly via the process of roboticization. However, it properties were corrupted and exploited by Dr. Robotnik, who utilized it to create robot slaves.

History

The Roboticizer was invented by Sir Charles Hedgehog to help the elderly live longer, but when he discovered it robbed its subjects of their free will, he destroyed it. Unbeknownst to Charlies however, the War Minster Julian transferred its blueprints to the War Ministry. Following his successful military coup of Mobotropolis, Julian, rechristened Robotnik, used the Roboticizer to transform eighty-five percent of the citizens into mindless robotic slaves loyal only to him.[1][2]

Over the next ten year, Robotnik would use the Roboticizer to further enslave the population and punish any Freedom Fighter he could catch. During the Doomsday Project, Robotnik built a special Roboticizer for his arch-enemy Sonic the Hedgehog, but he escaped by using the Power Rings to counter the device.[3]
