Rocket the Sloth is a character that appears in the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog television series. He is a ten-year-old slowpoke sloth. He claims to be the "fastest sloth on Mobius", hence the name Rocket. However, although he moves faster than the other sloths, he is still very slow. When he is talking to Tails, he demonstrates his speed by dropping himself out of the tree, and claiming "Now that's fast!". He lives with his sister, his mom, and his dad.

Appearance[]

Rocket has brown fur and nose, yellow fur on his muzzle and inner ears. For attire, he wears a green cap and a blue sweatshirt.

History[]

Rocket sent Sonic a distress signal in hopes he would protect his family. He is put in charge by Sonic of a warning gong which will warn Sonic of intruders. Robotnik makes a ray gun that slows Sonic down to capture him, however, Tails finds it when Sonic is captured and it malfunctions. After accidentally shooting Rocket with it, he discovers that the effect has reversed and makes Rocket super-fast, and Rocket and his family save Sonic after being sped up with the gun.[1]

Rocket later attended the testimonial banquet in Sonic's honor.[2] He and his sister were once in Mobius City Park listening to Fairy Tales being read by Miss Saccharine. Dr. Robotnik found a way to bring villains and a magic wand out of the storybook. Rocket, his sister, Miss Saccharine and other kids all assisted Sonic in defeating Robotnik and sending the fairytale characters back to their own world.[3]

Trivia[]

  • In "Sonically Ever After", Rocket talks normally rather than super slow like in "Slowwww Going".
  • Additionally in his debut ''Slowwww Going'' Rocket has a voice sounding like a grown up male, while in ''Sonically Ever After'' his voice is higher pitched sounding like a young boy, inconsistently enough.
