Rocket the Sloth is a ten year old slowpoke sloth. Rocket makes his debut in the AoStH episode "Slowwww Going". He claims to be the "fastest sloth on Mobius", which is probably why he is named Rocket. However, although he moves faster than the other sloths, he is very slow. When he is talking to Tails, he demonstrates his speed by dropping himself out of the tree, and claiming "Now that's fast!" He has brown fur, green-blue eyes, yellow fur on his muzzle and inner ears and wears a green old cap and a blue sweatshirt. He lives with his sister, his mom, and his dad. He has only three fingers and toes on each hand and foot, like sloths.

Rocket is voiced by Brad Swaile.

Rocket sent Sonic a distress signal in hopes he would protect his family. He is put in charge by Sonic of a warning gong which will warn Sonic of intruders. Robotnik makes a ray gun that slows Sonic down to capture him, however, Tails finds it when Sonic is captured and it malfunctions. After accidently shooting Rocket with it, he discovers that the effect has reversed and makes Rocket super-fast, and Rocket and his family save Sonic after being sped up with the gun.[1]

Rocket later attended the testimonial banquet in Sonic's honor.[2] He and his sister were once in Mobius City Park listening to Fairy Tales being read by Miss Saccharine. Dr. Robotnik found a way to bring villains and a magic wand out of the storybook. Rocket, his sister, Miss Saccarine and other kids all assisted Sonic in defeating Robotnik and sending the fairytale characters back to their own world.[3]

  • In "Sonically Ever After", Rocket talks normally rather than super slow like in "Slowwww Going". This likely is due to getting blasted with the Slowness Beam when the crystal that empowers it was broken.
  • The name "Rocket the Sloth" is actually an oxymoron.
